Atlantic House

The Atlantic House opened in 1867. It was built by Abijah Browning. The Atlantic House was located on Ocean Road, and was quite popular due to its location. Originally the hotel had 75 rooms, but was later expanded to have 150. The hotel was modified many times over the years. At one point the hotel’s proprietor was S.T. Browning. The Atlantic is the only former grand hotel in Narragansett that stands today. It serves as a hotel and condominiums.
