There will be a presentation and walking tour of the historic South Ferry Road area on Wed., July 22 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 Noon. Relive the history of a once-thriving village which became a military outpost on Narragansett Bay. This tour includes the old ferry landing, the WW1 military bunkers, the campus of URI Graduate School of Oceanography, and the South Ferry Church. Narragansett Historical Society members Wayne and Bernice Durfee will conduct this free event. Meet in the lobby of the OSEC building on the Narragansett Bay Campus.
