Wednesday, August 5th there will be a South Ferry Road historic area presentation and tour — relive the history of a once-thriving village which became a military outpost on Narragansett Bay. This free presentation and tour includes the old ferry landing, the WW1 military bunkers, the campus of URI Graduate School of Oceanography, and the South Ferry Church. This tour will be presented by Narragansett Historical Society members Wayne and Bernice Durfee from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.
